I founded Illumine8 Marketing & PR for very personal reasons.
My grandfather was brilliant. He created custom control panels that solved complex electrical problems in a world without computers.
He was an entrepreneur, a musician, a World War II veteran, a mayor and a wicked pool player. What he was not: a self-promoter.
My grandfather felt all marketing was phony. He felt the work should speak for itself. His business thrived on word-of-mouth referrals, and when his loyal customers moved or passed on, his business faded away.
I came to realize my grandfather was both right and wrong.
He was right in his passionate commitment to solving people's problems. He missed the mark because he couldn't see--due to negative experiences--how thoughtful, authentic marketing could empower him to help more people for longer.
Illumine8 exists to help people like my grandfather--hard working, honest, problem-solving folks that find it challenging to grow their businesses despite having a strong team and excellent products and services.
